Will I have to spend $$$ on gear and software?

The training mostly uses stock plug-ins.

There are some basic things you need, but you likely already have most of them. If you don't, they're more affordable than ever!

If you're serious about music, the things you need will be way cheaper than booking studio time.

Aren't I better off hiring someone to do this?

In my opinion, absolutely not. Other musicians, engineers, and producers can be invaluable.

However nothing compares to the creative freedom you get from being able to work any where, any time. Plus, no one knows what you want your music to sound like better than you!

What if I don't have an original song to sing?

Don't let that stop you! Recording & producing cover songs can be one of the most valuable uses of your time.

There are plenty of places to get backing tracks to sing over.

AND there's nothing that has taught me more than copying other incredible musicians. PLUS you can upload covers to Spotify and they tend to get more traffic than originals since people are already searching for them, even the Beatles performed cover songs on their albums to get more traction!

Can't I just use Presets?

Presets can be super helpful! But they can also greatly limit you if you don't understand how they work - plus there's a lot of skills that presets just can't help you with.
